Biography
DJ Target – Legendary Grime Artist and Broadcaster
DJ Target is best known as one of the founding members of Roll Deep, the UK’s original grime collective, alongside the likes of Skepta and Flowdan.
He currently hosts BBC R1Xtra evenings, as well as his two BBC3 Shows, Tonight with Target and Bafta Nominated Rap Game, both shows have been instrumental in exploring and celebrating black culture.
He is also author to bestselling book Grime Kids, where he tells the story of grime’s game-changing inception, sharing insider knowledge of what the rise of the genre looked like. After much critical acclaim he adapted the book into a hugely successful 5-part BBC drama.
Commercially, Target has worked with brands such as Arsenal, Havana Club and Pioneer.
Father to daughter Eden, Target has also flexed his entrepreneurial skills by launching a brand-new preservative-free baby food brand, ‘Eden’s Bloom’.
