Meet Timur Boguslavskiy
Timur Boguslavskiy, the highly talented Russian racing sensation, is making waves in the exhilarating world of motorsports as he pushes the limits of speed and skill. With his determination and a passion for excellence, Timur is leaving his mark on the international racing scene.
Starting his racing journey at the age of 15 in the Winter Rotax Max Kazan, Timur quickly showcased his natural talent and fierce competitive spirit. In 2016, he emerged as the champion in the Junior category of the Canyon Cup, setting the stage for a promising career ahead. That same year, he made his debut in the SMP RSKG (Russian Circuit Racing Series), securing podium finishes in the Touring-light category. Timur’s triumphs continued as he clinched the Tatarstan Republic Circuit Racing Cup championship and emerged as the winner of the Seat Ibiza Cup Italia in Monza’s Rookie category.
In 2017, Timur made a strong debut in the Radical Middle East Cup, winning his very first race. The following year, he returned to the championship, dominating the field by claiming both pole position and victory in consecutive races. His prowess behind the wheel caught the attention of racing enthusiasts, solidifying his reputation as a rising star.
Venturing into the world of endurance racing, Timur made his mark in the ELMS (European Le Mans Series) in 2018, representing NEFIS Racing Division by Speed Factory Racing Team. His impressive debut yielded a commendable fourth-place finish in Portimao. Additionally, Timur secured a third-place finish in the Vallelunga World Final while piloting the Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo.
In 2019, at the age of 19, Timur embarked on an extraordinary rookie season in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo Middle East, emerging as the Pro category champion. He then joined forces with Akkodis ASP Team, driving the #90 Mercedes AMG GT3 in the prestigious Blancpain GT World Challenge Europe. Timur’s remarkable performances propelled him to an overall second-place finish in the Silver Cup, with notable victories in the Sprint and Endurance Cup races. He clinched the Endurance Cup championship, solidifying his status as a force to be reckoned with.
Building on his success, Timur continued his campaign in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS in 2020, piloting a Mercedes. Displaying remarkable consistency and skill, he secured two victories in the Sprint Cup, ultimately claiming the Overall championship in the Drivers’ Pro category. His triumph marked him as the youngest Overall Champion in the history of the series, cementing his place among motorsports’ elite.
In 2021, Timur continued to showcase his prowess in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup, securing a commendable third-place finish in the final standings. He also shone in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, achieving a podium second place in the iconic Indianapolis 8h race and a fantastic victory in the renowned Kyalami 9h race.
The following year, Timur further established his dominance in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS Sprint Cup, finishing in an impressive second place in the final standings. His exceptional driving skills propelled him to three thrilling victories in Brands Hatch, Magny-Cours, and Zandvoort.
For the 2023 season, Timur is geared up to race with Akkodis ASP Team in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS, competing in the Pro category. Partnering with the esteemed Raffaele Marciello and Jules Gounon, current Endurance Cup champions, in the Endurance Cup, and teaming up with Marciello in the Sprint Cup, Timur aims to claim the coveted victory he has been chasing after three consecutive podium finishes in the past seasons.
