Biography

Simon Jack’s background

He is a former BBC Breakfast and Radio 4 flagship Today Programme broadcaster and has also presented business news on the BBC’s One, Six and Ten O’Clock News. During his broadcasting career, Simon has reported on high profile news events including the banking crisis in September 2006 where he reported on the Federal takeover of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the Bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, the bailout of AIG and the Lloyds takeover of HBOS.

Before entering the world of news-casting, Simon spent ten years in commercial and investment banking in London. More recently, he has filmed a Panorama special edition where he investigated the circumstances surrounding his father’s death to help answer the question of why more middle-aged men commit suicide than any other group.

He also has an Oxford University degree in Politics Philosophy and Economics.
