About Sabrina Faramarzi
Sabrina Faramarzi is an international journalist, trend analyst and data storyteller. Her work explores patterns across sociocultural phenomena through a future-focused lens, with an interest in business, society and internet culture. Sabrina’s approach is informal but informative, and her humorous and witty style helps easily guide audiences through complex topics to find the devil in the details. She often leaves her audiences with new ways of thinking about things they already thought they knew all about.
As a journalist, she has worked and written for publications such as The New York Times, The Guardian, Vogue Business, Wired and VICE, to name a few. In addition, she has helped brands such as Google, Meta, Airbnb, Lush, Tempur, Regus and GSK to create content for their audiences.
As a trend analyst, she has worked with clients across design, travel, hospitality, non-profit, fashion, beauty and food, undertaking quantitative and qualitative research as well as regularly writing trend reports for future forecasting and insights agencies The Future Laboratory, Stylus and Canvas8.
She is currently the Managing Director of Are We Europe, a non-profit media collective dedicated to innovation and diversity in the European media landscape, supporting emerging creative talent in Europe and promoting the creation of pan-European media initiatives.
Additionally, she is the founder of Dust in Translation, a boutique creative data storytelling agency helping organisations to help them push forward their mission through innovative, data-driven content and communications; and one of the co-founders of the activist group Feminist Internet, a non-profit organisation advancing internet equality for womxn and other marginalised groups through critical, creative practice.
She holds a First Class Bachelor Honours degree in Trend Prediction & Forecasting from the University of East London and a Master of Arts with Distinction in Journalism from the University of the Arts London.
She lives between Berlin and London, exploring how media can stay relevant in more fragmented, digital global futures.
