Biography

With over two decades in broadcast television, Paula Faris shines in speaking to groups of any size. She is an experienced and engaging event moderator who easily builds rapport and chemistry with the audience and her interviewee. As the future of work continues to develop, Paula is leading the charge in educating organizations on adapting and fostering an inclusive work culture that attracts and retains parents, a vital talent pool.

Paula has extensive experience reporting on some of the most important news events of our time. She started her career with TV affiliates in Chicago, Cincinnati, and Dayton, cutting her teeth behind the scenes by shooting, editing, and producing. She then spent nine years at ABC News, where she co-anchored Good Morning America Weekend, co-hosted The View, and launched the podcast, Journeys Of Faith with Paula Faris. Charming and warm, Paula uncovers the human stories behind the headlines and is a trusted interviewer and moderator to prominent celebrities and figures, including Reese Witherspoon, Tiger Woods, Kellyanne Conway, Bob Iger, and now-president Joe Biden.

In March 2023, she released “You Don’t Have to Carry It All,” which features an endorsement from Jenna Bush-Hager. In it, Paula highlights an issue and journey she is intimately familiar with— the challenges mothers face and how we can give working moms the support they need and deserve. In her best-selling debut book, “Called Out,” Paula gives readers an inside look at the events that led her to pump the brakes at the height of her career and discover who she was apart from what she did for a living.

After experiencing burnout as a working mom and ultimately leaving ABC News due to the 2020 pandemic, Paula’s passion was ignited and resulted in the launch of CARRY Media™, the trusted storyteller for working moms that’s on a mission to amplify the story of the working mom, cheer her on, and advocate for change that transforms her reality.

Additionally, Paula is an active Trustee of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, with a children’s book being released in September 2023, where 100% of the proceeds go to BGCA.
