About Pat Cash

Former professional tennis player, Pat Cash is a legend of the game who burst onto the scene as a youngster and went on to reach the ranking of number four in the world. The Australian-born star was a fierce competitor in his prime and is now available to share stories from his time at the top as a keynote and after-dinner speaker.

Prior to garnering world recognition, Pat made waves in the junior divisions of the sport. Starting in the 80s, in 1981, he gained the title of number 1 junior player in the world, shortly after he stole top prize at the 1982 Wimbledon and US Open. A champion from the outset, Pat was destined for the world stage and turned professional in 1982 aged only seventeen. The youngest-ever competitor in a Davis Cup final, Pat was known for being the total package as a player, combining speed, strength, precision, and mental stamina. Reaching the final of the prestigious Grand Slam on five occasions, Pat won the Wimbledon Singles title in 1987, becoming the first person to win both the Grand Slam junior and senior title. After the impressive win, Pat jumped into the Wimbledon stands to celebrate with his friends and family, an action that has since been made a tradition by later winners.

In addition to his Grand Slam success, Pat Cash also helped Australia to lift the Davis Cup on two occasions in 1983 and 1986, proving he was a force to be reckoned with on the court. Over the course of his career, he amassed a total of eighteen doubles and singles titles including the: Lorraine Open (1987), South African Open (1987) and Hong Kong Open 1990, an impressive trophy cabinet for a tennis player. After a lucrative career, and achieving global success, Pat retired in 1997 as a champion. Since his retirement, Pat has featured as a co-commentator on TV for the BBC.

As a formidable competitor, Pat Cash has a wealth of knowledge that he can share with audiences from a sports or corporate background. From insider anecdotes to motivational speeches covering determination, achieving dreams and having resilience, there is something for every member of the audience when Pat is the speaker of the room.
