As expert futurists point out, the four main engines of acceleration of the 21st century are digitalisation, automation, robotics and artificial intelligence. Yet, one needs to examine these megatrends beyond technology – through the lenses of natural, social, economic and cultural change. In order to be successful in today’s world, an educational organization shall strive to achieve a high level of both internal and external complexity, connectivity and sustainability. This can be achieved by using the latest technologies and – at the same time – harnessing the powers of historic human traits of knowledge and involvement.

It is true that to understand the world, we need to start from the future. Yet, we believe that in order to be successful in this, we need to see what we we can learn from old human knowledge and how we can translate it into the 21st century. We believe that it is important for digital universities to know and apply what we call the “knowledge of the ancients” – creating an extra content layer based on technology, with the help of digital storytelling, using stories, music and maps.

So, is it possible that apart from technology, an institution / organisation needs to include unquantifiable factors such as fairy tales, myths, music, culture, geography and history into the digital discovery of tomorrow?

The “Futurquoise” vision is a new way of thinking about the future. It is based on sustainable and harmonious future societies and economies. The word “Futurquoise” is made up of two words: “Future” and “Turquoise.” Together, they show a vision of a future where nature, new ideas, and sustainability are important. It can inspire communities to build a future that respects nature, uses technology and is good for society. The Futurquoise concept is based on:

1. Sustainability and protecting the environment: Environmental protection and sustainability are important in the “Futurquoise” vision. Future societies must develop a system that respects nature to secure the planet’s resources sustainably.

2. Innovation and technology: In the Futurquoise world, technology and innovation support human and ecological balance. New technologies help the environment and support social and economic systems.

3. Harmony and balance: Turquoise has always been a symbol of harmony and balance. “Futurquoise” suggests a future where people, work, and nature all coexist in harmony.

4. Think globally, act locally: Futurquoise represents a global vision where people think about the challenges facing the planet and act locally to find sustainable solutions. Communities can find new ways to work together and solve future problems.

5. Community development: Futurquoise zones are spaces for communities where creativity, collaboration and co-development are key. These zones are built around helping communities and connecting people.

Focusing of the fusion and connectivity between geography and music, their intersections, discoveries, scientific connections, the diversity of geography, places, culture – the everlasting relationship of music and geography. It seeks to find out about the music of various locations and the inspirations of these places through music.

To understand where various people are situated in the diverse community of humanity and its values, it is essential to comprehend their origins, past, destiny, customs, style, self-esteem and self-respect, and their potential of welfare and survival. Places do have a destiny, a DNA structure, a charisma, to which music is intrinsically linked, giving us a complex overview. Through music we can get answers to many questions, because music has a very powerful mediating role.

A very special genre is world music or global music, which spans our whole planet: it is extremely diverse with more than 330 sub-genres. It is extraordinary because it feeds on a specific branch of music, like folk music, and transforms it to create a new genre of music that is ‘accessible’. It presents and tells stories about unique music that we may not have heard before. It connects places with music. It presents a wide variety of cultures, ethnic groups and their music, placing music at the intersection of geography and history.
