Meet Matt Barbet

A renowned broadcaster and journalist, Matt Barbet is currently one of the main anchors on Sky News fronting much of its flagship output, as well as hosting his own regular slot on Sunday mornings. Matt previously led news coverage for the BBC, ITV and Channel 5, before taking a break from our screens to become a partner at leading public relations firm Freuds.

As a broadcaster and correspondent, Matt has spent over 20 years covering the key stories of the day and reporting on elections, wars and natural disasters across the globe. A seasoned interview and moderator, Matt has interviewed some of the world’s biggest names including HM King Charles III, Angelina Jolie and Arnold Schwarzenegger. Today, he continues to question political and business leaders, along with household names, getting the inside track on what the audience needs to know.

As a partner at Freuds, Matt worked closely with a range of corporate and individual clients, including global sports stars and CEOs, helping them to tailor and present their stories to the world, as well as dealing with and adapting to changing circumstances and difficulties. This work provided unparalleled insight into building trust and confidence, tackling challenges and maintaining focus under pressure.
