Biography
Meet Jeremy Vine
As one of the UK’s leading broadcasters, Jeremy is best known for hosting his award-winning BBC Radio 2 show, which is now the most listened-to radio programme in the UK, as well as his eponymous Channel 5 daily current affairs programme where he engages audiences with his signature blend of sharp analysis and lively debate.
A two-time Sony Speech Broadcaster of the Year, Jeremy has also presented the long-running quiz show Eggheads on the BBC & now Channel 5, has led BBC election graphics coverage – including the 2024 UK General Election – and fronted Channel 4’s London Data Hub for their US election night coverage. His distinguished broadcasting career also includes presenting for Newsnight and Points of View, covering major global events as a BBC Africa correspondent, reporter for the Today programme and being only one of four anchors on Panorama, the world’s oldest current affairs show.
Beyond journalism, Jeremy is also an accomplished author. His 2012 autobiography, It’s All News to Me, offered a vivid, often hilarious account of his 25 years at the BBC, told in his unmistakably lively and self-deprecating style. The Daily Telegraph called it “a brilliant memoir,” praising him as “the perfect diarist… silly and joyful,” and said simply they, “adored it.” His follow-up 2017 memoir, What I Learnt, explores his time at BBC Radio 2 and showcases his wit, insight and deep connection with listeners.
Today, Jeremy launches his exciting debut murder mystery novel, Murder on Line One, bringing a new storytelling dimension to his speaking appearances.
