About James Lewer
James is an experienced television broadcaster and journalist.
He’s currently a presenter, correspondent and sports reporter. His clients include BBC News, Sky Sports News, TRT World and Manchester United’s club channel MUTV.
James works in the field for the BBC, regularly reporting on news stories across the UK. Whilst at TRT World, as a correspondent he’s covered international conflicts from the channel’s bureau in London.
His specialism in sports broadcasting has also seen him speak with a number of high profile figures such as Premier League managers and players.
James has interviewed the likes of Beth Mead, Andriy Shevchenko and Gary Lineker, and attended high calibre events with UEFA, charity dinners, and investitures at Windsor Castle.
In addition, James has also reported on some of the most groundbreaking news stories over the last decade including the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, the ups and downs of Brexit, and the pandemic. In that time he’s interviewed a whole range of politicians and experts.
He’s made regular broadcast appearances as a contributor on the BBC News channel’s newspaper reviews as a journalist, and anchored the Times Radio Early Breakfast Show on several occasions. James also travelled around the country for the Sunday Times’ Best Places To Live audio series, where he met and chatted with people from different backgrounds helping to bring their personal stories to life.
Originally from the south coast, but having lived across the UK, James has now settled in Cambridgeshire with his wife. He enjoys a good documentary series and a glass of red!
