The Tariff Wake-Up Call: Will You Innovate and Adapt, or Will You Fall Behind?
The lecture equips board members, corporate leaders, and decision-makers with the tools and insight needed in order to successfully innovate in light of the rising wave of tariffs and economic nationalism, including the current Trump tariffs, as well as the understanding of why it is critical to innovate now.
These latest developments are not merely trade policy shifts – they represent a full-blown crisis that threatens global supply chains, pricing models, and market access. Traditional corporate structures are too slow and risk-averse to adapt effectively in real time.
Drawing on real-world examples and over a decade of experience working with large, global corporations, the lecture demonstrates why open innovation, which is based on collaboration with startups, external experts, and innovation ecosystems, is the only effective response.
Participants will walk away with a practical, action-oriented roadmap for increasing organizational resilience, accelerating pilot success, and transforming their companies into agile, future-proof market leaders, ready for today’s economic crisis and tomorrow’s disruptions.
Innovate Now or Die Later
The lecture is intended to expose managers, owners, and various corporate leaders to the importance of collaboration with startups and other external entities, such as members of the academia, as well as other corporations, to enable organizations to keep up with technological changes.
Even before the pandemic, the majority of industries have been changing. COVID-19 has acted as a catalyst and greatly accelerated digital transformation across industries. Internal innovation departments simply do not have the tools, nor the ability to survive in this changing world without the assistance of external actors, and most important among them are startups.
The lecture presents the challenges of integrating innovation in large organizations and offers various helpful tips for tackling these challenges to integrate and implement innovation successfully.
