How to ride the sharks of change
SHARKS OF CHANGE empowers the audience to embrace the new!
Change is often seen as dangerous.
In “how to ride the sharks of change,” the fear of change attacking your “comfortable” status quo is embodied in an actual shark on stage.
Dietmar then rides this shark, demonstrating to the audience how riding the “sharks of change” makes you faster, stronger, cooler—even in the eyes of your customers.
Later in the keynote, Dietmar addresses the fear and panic that comes with facing the sharks of change.
But don’t worry: panic can trigger hidden powers that will make you stronger than before.
Dietmar can tailor this keynote to address the specific changes you and your company are going through right now.
He’ll motivate and energise the audience to embrace that change … and after the keynote, the audience can even ride the shark of change themselves…. literally.
a photo opportunity of the participants on the shark will serve as a powerful reminder to jump on top of the unknown and “ride it”.
Breaking the Walls of the “Impossible”
Change seems like a wall we can’t break.
In BREAKING THE WALLS of the “impossible”, Dietmar builds an actual wall of stage, and shows how this wall stops progress and development.
Together with the audience (engaged in the countdown), Dietmar then BREAKS THE WALLS of the “impossible” and generates a powerful atmosphere.
In a positive and playful way, this helps to deal with the hard work and mental blocks associated with change, while activating a CAN-DO attitude.
Upon request, “bricks” from the wall can be signed by Dietmar and given away as fun reminders for the audience members to take home.
Cooperate or Die
Collective intelligence and cooperation is the main KPI of the future.
In “COOPERATE OR DIE,” Dietmar talks about the unparalleled power of cooperation, and the need to see cooperation as the single most important strength in your organization.
Dramatizing his point with a human skull, Dietmar explains that it was neither muscle nor brains that made us the dominant species, but rather, our ability to COOPERATE; the same key strength that secured our survival as a species, and will heavily impact your survival as a business!
He discusses the rules of cooperation and the how the perfect mix of expertise depends on future opportunities and challenges.
Destroy the Pillows of Comfort
We tend to find “reasons” why change is a definite must for all …. but us!
Dietmar calls these inner excuses “the comfortable cushions of paralysis” or “the pillows of comfort”.
In “Destroy the Pillows of Comfort,” Dietmar demonstrates how development is always running. And, in order to run (and not be left behind), that means even you need to get up and run, as well. But it is human nature to prefer to stay comfortable.
Dietmar explains how the temptation of finding comfort is so strong, that it is best to destroy this option entirely. This is exactly what he then does, with the help of a chainsaw.
The image this creates on stage is an impactful one that will stay with the audience forever. It also makes a great headline photo for publications, and some companies even use the (signed) chainsaw as an achievement award or prize.
This even works really well in a virtual studio setting!
Save the Planet
Sustainability is a must for all businesses!
In “SAVE THE PLANET,” Dietmar emotionally dramatizes the need to ACT NOW, demonstrating the effect of global warming by putting a flamethrower to a toy globe.
While the globe melts, Dietmar explains the effects of the global rise in temperature on the planet.
This image is a strong and memorable visual that makes a great headline photo for publications.
In typical “Dietmar Style,” the overall message and tonality stays positive and motivating: We need to GRIEF WHAT WE’VE LOST AND SAVE WHAT WE CAN! HELL YEAH! WE CAN DO THIS!
The flamethrower is most often made or rented at the location. Within Europe an existing “flamethrower” made from a “weed-killer” can be shipped.
The globe doesn’t burn! No smoke will rise. No fire-alarm will be triggered. The heat generated correlated to about 10 candles burning at once. For extra safety Dietmar used fire-blankets on/near the stage.
Ride the Shark of Change
Change is often seen as dangerous.
In “How to RIDE THE SHARK of CHANGE” Dietmar gives this fear the body of an actual shark attacking for success.
After brining the shark on stage, Dietmar addresses the urgent need to adapt to the new, and invites everyone (in a photo op after the keynote) to “ride the shark of change” as well.
This helps to deal with change in a positive, even playful way, and dramatically reduces the fear of change by framing it as a positive and manageable experience.
Superheroes of Change
The UNIQUE IMAGERY that Dietmar is known for creating on stage has a powerful and lasting effect on the audience.
In “SUPERHEROES OF CHANGE” Dietmar takes the audience on a journey that transforms every one of them into a superhero of change. Each member of the audience has a different superhero strength, which together forms a fantastic team.
Often this leads of a GRAND FINALE of everybody in the audience posing as a super hero TOGETHER!
This works really great online, with either real or virtual masks.
Captivating Imagery
Known for captivating imagery that entertains and engages the audience, Dietmar’s keynotes go beyond being informative. They enhance the audience’s understanding of the information by emotionally engaging them, for a lasting effect.
