Biography
Dee Snider: Legendary Frontman and Inspirational Speaker
Dee Snider is of course best known as the lead singer of glam metal band Twisted Sister and has been considered as one of the greatest front men of all time. Dee shares his compelling, funny, and at times touching stories and experiences. Believing that everybody is capable of becoming a “rock star” in their own life, Dee proves it by showing how his life lessons perfectly translate to help any career.
The writer of the cult horror movie Strangeland, Dee has a multitude of different experiences from currently being President of Defiant Artists making action, thriller and horror movies to voicing video game characters appearing alongside well-known personalities like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Gordon Ramsey and SpongeBob SquarePants!
One of the most famous appearances however was in front of the US Senate, debating the accusations of Tipper Gore, who said that his music and heavy metal in general incited violence and therefore should be banned and censored. Dee Snider not only defended his band and the livelihood he treasured but also the work of hundreds of other musicians. Thanks to Dee Snider heavy metal was not banned but simply given a content warning stamp placed across album covers. The warning stamps that ultimately pushed heavy metal record sales through the roof!
Dee was one of a trio of himself, Franz Zappa and John Denver at these hearings.
