Meet Dean McCullough
Dean hosts his own daytime show on BBC Radio 1 and has become one of the most exciting broadcasters in the country.
With 13 years’ experience under his belt, Dean was awarded ‘Top LGBTQ+ Broadcaster’ by Attitude Magazine.
Dean has filled dance floors across the UK & Europe including ‘Ministry of Sound’ ‘The O2 Arena’ and ‘O Beach Ibiza’. He has also supported UK pop royalty ‘Steps’ on their UK summer tour and has played at the ‘House & Garage Orchestra’ ‘Mighty Hoopla’ and ‘Its The 90’s baby’ festivals.
Dean has hosted large scale corporate events and red carpets for ‘The Olivier Awards’, ‘The British LGBT Awards’ & ‘London Fashion Week’ and has hosted the main stage of ‘Radio 1’s Big Weekend’ to a crowd of 80,000. Dean has also hosted the main stage at pride events across the UK including Manchester, London, Belfast, Glasgow and Birmingham.
In television, Dean has been a guest on ‘Big Brother: Late & Live’, ‘Love Island: Aftersun’, ‘Celebability’ and ‘Retreat Yourself’ for ITV. For the BBC, he has also appeared on ‘Celebrity Mastermind’, ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’, ‘CBBC Mashup’, ‘Children In Need’ and ‘Eurovision: Make Me A Winner’. He has also presented for ‘Morning Live’ on BBC One making a personal film about his journey with sobriety.
In music, Dean has presented ‘Sam Smith at The BBC’ for BBC Sounds. He has also hosted a ‘Westlife at Wembley’ special which was broadcast in 650 cinemas nationwide. Dean is an engaging interviewer and storyteller. He has interviewed some of the biggest artists on the planet including; Ed Sheeran.
