Biography
One of the most prominent and intrepid journalists in America today, Bret Baier, FOX News’ chief political anchor and anchor of Special Report with Bret Baier, digs deep to get the stories that people need to hear. His nonpartisan, rapid-fire approach to reporting provides audiences with the substantive facts they need to make decisions about the future of the country.
Baier’s extensive reporting experience as former chief White House and national security correspondent brought him through the halls of the Pentagon, to the war fields of Iraq and Afghanistan as well as to the campaign trails of elections past and present. Fresh, current and straightforward, his daily high-profile and cutting-edge reporting gives him the ability to offer in-depth insights and perspectives on the inner workings of government, the political leaders and issues affecting policy. As the anchor of the “must-see” daily program for political news, Baier has traveled the world with various administrations and military officials and reported from 74 countries. Most recently, Baier has provided live breaking news coverage surrounding Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, interviewing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
Baier is the author of four New York Times Best-Sellers, “Three Days in January,” “Special Heart: A Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love,” “Three Days in Moscow: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of the Soviet Empire,” as well as “Three Days at the Brink: FDR’s Daring Gamble to Win World War II” which was released in October 2019. His most recent book, “To Rescue the Republic: Ulysses S. Grant, the Fragile Union, and the Crisis of 1876” was released in 2021.
His book, “Special Heart: One Family’s Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage and Love” chronicles young Paul Baier’s brave journey through the seemingly endless maze of medical procedures and operations required to sustain his life since being born in 2007 with five congenital heart defects. Three open-heart surgeries and seven angioplasties later, Paul’s example of courage and resilience has served to transform Baier and his wife Amy’s beliefs about what matters most in life – totally reshaping their definitions of character, faith, hope, courage and love. Baier donates all of his speaking fees and proceeds from his book to various non-profit organizations involved in pediatric heart disease research and treatment.

Special Heart: One Family’s Journey of Faith, Hope, Courage & Love
In this presentation, Baier shares with audiences his son Paul’s brave journey through the seemingly endless maze of medical procedures and operations required to sustain his life since being born in 2007 with five congenital heart defects. Three open-heart surgeries and seven angioplasties later, Paul’s example of courage and resilience has served to transform Bret and his wife Amy’s beliefs about what matters most in life – totally reshaping their definitions of character, faith, hope, courage and love.
