About Andrzej Antoszkiewicz

Andrzej Antoszkiewicz has spearheaded advancements in global multilateralism, cooperation, and security over his distinguished 25+ year career which spans some of the most relevant organizations in the world. From global security to football, his multidisciplinary career includes roles at the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Brussels. the Fédération Internationale De Football Association (FIFA) in Zurich, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris and the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna. Andrzej has worked with Secretaries General, Presidents and Prime Ministers on ensuring that the world is a more connected, prosperous, open, and secure place for its citizens.

While at NATO Andrzej served as the Lead for Planning and Coordination for the preparation of the 2014 NATO Summit in Wales, where he was ultimately responsible for the success of this pivotal global event. In 2015 he was appointed as Principal Advisor to the Government of Poland on the planning of the 2016 NATO Summit in Warsaw, for which he was made Knight of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland.

Andrzej has profoundly changed the organizations in which he has served. While at FIFA he helped lead the transformation of the federations’ business model and fundamentally changed how World Cups are delivered. At NATO he conceptualized the strategy for how the organization would transform its people in the face of changing global security challenges. At the OSCE and the OECD he was responsible for significant transformations in how these organizations govern their activities, priorities, and people.

Prior to joining the multilateral sphere Andrzej held a number of senior level positions within the Government of Canada, including helping lead organizational transformation across the portfolio of Small Departments and Agencies as well as the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC-CRSNG) where his leadership helped tackle the chronic underrepresentation of women in the Natural Sciences and Engineering departments of Canadian Universities. Prior to joining the public sector Andrzej started his career in Silicon Valley working in technology start-ups at the height of the first internet boom.

As part of his portfolio career, Andrzej has been space industry-adjacent for most of his life. In 1996 he pioneered the first ever high-school internship at the Canadian Space Agency and worked as part of the teams overseeing the Radarsat and MSAT programmes. He has participated in numerous fora related to the commercial aspects of the global space industry, most notably over successive editions of the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, USA, and with the Space Foundation. Andrzej has also worked with early-stage space technology companies, helping identify opportunities linked to business strategy and access to funding. His most precious memory is a lengthy exchange he had with Buzz Aldrin on the impact which space plays in global defence and security in the context of the emergence of BRICS economies, much of which has now come to pass.

Andrzej’s key strength as a speaker and moderator is his ability to connect diverse industry and government sectors to yield unique and profound insights.
